The Great Rann of Kutch is a seasonal salt marsh in Gujarat spanning over 7,500 sq km — drying in winter into a breathtaking white landscape that meets the horizon in every direction. The Rann Utsav Tent City at Dhordo (85 km from Bhuj, ~1 hr 45 min) operates from November to February and offers a luxury camp experience with all meals, cultural evenings and guided excursions.
Pickup from Bhuj Railway Station / Airport is available at fixed timings: 8:15 AM, 10:00 AM, 1:30 PM and 3:30 PM. On the last day, the package includes complimentary sightseeing at the Smritivan Earthquake Museum in Bhuj (closed on Mondays). Individual transfers outside fixed timings are available on request at an additional charge.
White Desert — Sunset & Sunrise Points — The central salt flat of the Great Rann, stretching to the horizon in every direction — magical at sunset with the sky turning pink and gold, and equally stunning at sunrise. Guests are transferred to the Sunset / Sunrise Point by bus and camel cart.
Rann Utsav — Cultural Evenings — The nightly Cultural Activity Area at the tent city brings alive the rich traditions of Kutch — folk music, Garba, puppet shows, fire performances and artisan craft displays. A truly immersive celebration of Gujarat's cultural heritage every evening.
Kala Dungar (Black Hill) & Gandhi Nu Gaam — The highest point in Kutch at 462 m — offering a sweeping panorama of the white salt flats below. En-route, visit 'Gandhi Nu Gaam', a renowned Kutchi handicraft village famous for its embroidery, mirror work and block-printed fabrics. Tea and refreshments served along the way.
Smritivan Earthquake Museum, Bhuj — A world-class museum built as a memorial to the 2001 Bhuj earthquake — with immersive exhibits on the disaster, Gujarat's resilience and the region's cultural heritage. Included as a complimentary visit on the checkout day (closed Mondays).
Pickup from Bhuj Railway Station or Airport at your chosen fixed time (8:15 AM / 10:00 AM / 1:30 PM / 3:30 PM). Drive to the Rann Utsav Tent City at Dhordo (~85 km / ~1 hr 45 min). Warm welcome and check-in from 12:30 PM. Enjoy a delicious lunch at the Dining Area (12:30–2:30 PM). Afternoon leisure or indulge in the exciting range of in-camp activities (2:30–4:30 PM). Hi-Tea at the Dining Area (4:00–5:00 PM). Head to the iconic Sunset Point (5:00–7:00 PM) by bus and/or camel cart — witness the stunning sunset over the white salt desert. Return to camp (7:00–7:30 PM). Scrumptious. Cultural evening with Kutchi folk performances and entertainment (9:00–10:30 PM).
