A 6-day island circuit through India's most pristine coral archipelago — from Kavaratti's lighthouse and shipwreck to Agatti's lagoon beaches, the tiny paradise of Kalpitti Island and world-class snorkelling, diving and kayaking in turquoise Arabian Sea waters.
Lakshadweep ('Hundred Thousand Islands') is a Union Territory of 36 coral atolls in the Arabian Sea, of which only 11 are inhabited and a few open to tourists. The circuit begins at Agatti — the only island with an airport — with a speedboat transfer to Kavaratti Island. Kavaratti offers the famous lighthouse, Eastern Jetty, a fascinating shipwreck, local museum and stunning sunset point before returning to Agatti for beach sightseeing and water sports.
Day 4 brings an excursion to Kalpitti Island — a tiny pristine islet at the southern tip of Agatti, accessible only by small boat through shallow turquoise waters — for swimming and island walking. Day 5 is free for the full range of Agatti water sports: diving, snorkelling, kayaking, fishing and reef watching. Entry permits (Inner Line Permit) are required for all Indian tourists and are arranged as part of the package.
Kavaratti Island — Lighthouse, Museum & Shipwreck — Kavaratti's key sights: the iconic island lighthouse with panoramic lagoon views, local museum, Eastern Jetty, the infamous shipwreck (snorkellable), the serene Island Helipad, beautiful Sunset Point and the traditional island villages. The blue lagoon around Sea Shells Beach Resort is among Lakshadweep's finest.
Agatti Island — Beach & Lagoon Sightseeing — Agatti — the gateway island with the only airport — offers a stunning electric-blue lagoon, Public Library, Anthropological Museum, South Beach, Eastern Jetty, NIOT Sea Water Desalination Plant and the beautiful Lagoon Beach for swimming and relaxation.
Kalpitti Island Excursion — A small pristine islet at the southern tip of Agatti — accessible by small boat through shallow turquoise waters. Explore by foot, swim in the crystal-clear sea, and experience the unspoilt beauty of one of Lakshadweep's least visited spots. Subject to weather conditions.
Snorkelling & Coral Reef — Lakshadweep's reefs are among India's most pristine — 105 coral species, 600 fish species, and frequent sea turtle and reef shark encounters. Both Agatti and Kavaratti offer excellent snorkelling directly from the beach with visibility often exceeding 30 m.
Scuba Diving & Water Sports — Agatti is a world-class dive destination — wall dives, drift dives and wreck dives in crystal-clear warm water. Also on offer: kayaking through the lagoon, deep-sea fishing for yellowfin tuna and barracuda, and glass-bottom boat reef watching (all on direct payment basis).
Kavaratti Sunset Point — Lakshadweep's most beautiful sunset viewpoint on Kavaratti Island — watch the sun sink into the Arabian Sea over the turquoise lagoon, with the silhouettes of coconut palms and the island lighthouse creating a scene of extraordinary natural beauty.
Arrive at Agatti Airport — our representative will greet you and escort you to Sea Shells Beach Resort Agatti for lunch. At 2:00 PM, our team assists with boarding the speedboat. The speedboat departs at 2:30 PM from Agatti Jetty and arrives at Kavaratti (2 hrs 30 min journey). Welcomed with a refreshing drink and checked in to your beach cottage at Sea Shells Beach Resort Kavaratti. Spend the rest of the day relaxing by the beach or exploring the stunning blue lagoon. Overnight stay at Kavaratti.
