Uttarakhand — Devbhoomi, the Land of Gods — hosts four of Hinduism's most sacred shrines. Complete the entire Char Dham Yatra by road in 12 days from Delhi: Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath — with Haridwar, Mussoorie, Kempty Falls, Harsil Valley and Mana Village along the way.
The Char Dham Yatra is India's most revered pilgrimage circuit covering four Himalayan shrines — Yamunotri (source of the Yamuna, 3,293 m), Gangotri (source of the Ganga, 3,048 m), Kedarnath (Jyotirlinga of Lord Shiva, 3,584 m) and Badrinath (Lord Vishnu's abode, 3,133 m). It is believed the yatra bestows divine blessings and a path to salvation. Best time: May to November.
Our 12-day road package (₹28,000 per person, valid for minimum 6 persons travelling together) departs from Delhi and returns to Delhi, covering Haridwar, Mussoorie, Barkot, Uttarkashi, Guptkashi, Kedarnath, Badrinath, Rudraprayag and Rishikesh. All transfers, hotel accommodation and daily breakfast are included.
Yamunotri Temple — The source of the sacred Yamuna river (actual glacier source at 4,321 m). Reached by a 6 km trek from Janki Chatti through rhododendrons and Himalayan conifers — on foot, pony or doli (own cost). Key sites: Surya Kund thermal springs, Divya Shila rock pillar, Janunabai Kund and the Hanuman Ganga–Yamuna confluence at Hanuman Chatti.
Gangotri Temple — The sacred source of the Ganga (Bhagirathi river) at 3,048 m in dense deodar forest. En-route: holy dip at Garam Kund, Gangnani, and the majestic Harsil Valley. Gangotri glacier, the actual source, lies 19 km further at Gaumukh.
Kedarnath Temple — One of India's 12 Jyotirlingas — a 1,200-year-old stone temple at 3,584 m against the Kedarnath glacier. Reached by an 18 km trek from Gaurikund (pony / doli / helicopter available on direct payment). Evening visit to Adi Shankaracharya Samadhi behind the temple.
Badrinath Temple — The holiest of the four — Lord Vishnu's abode at 3,133 m in the Alaknanda Valley. Begin with a sacred dip in Tapt Kund (hot spring) before darshan. Visit Mana Village (India's last village before the China border) and Bheem Pul over the Saraswati River. Optional: Tungnath Ji Temple at Chopta (5 km trek en-route).
Har Ki Pauri & Ganga Aarti, Haridwar — The most sacred ghat of Haridwar — where the Ganges descends onto the plains. The evening Ganga Aarti with thousands of diyas floating on the river is one of India's most moving spiritual experiences. Also visit Mansa Devi Temple.
Mana Village & Rishikesh — Mana Village (3 km from Badrinath) — India's last inhabited village before Tibet, with Bheem Pul, Vyas Cave and the underground Saraswati river. On the return: Rishikesh — Ram Jhula, Laxman Jhula and Sita Setu at the Yoga Capital of the World.
