The Andaman & Nicobar Islands are an archipelago of 572 islands in the Bay of Bengal, of which only 38 are inhabited. Port Blair, the capital, is home to the sobering Cellular Jail — where Indian freedom fighters were imprisoned by the British — and the gateway to some of Asia's best beaches. The nightly Light & Sound show at the jail is a deeply moving account of India's freedom struggle.
Havelock Island (Swaraj Dweep) hosts the Blue Flag-certified Radha Nagar Beach — consistently rated one of Asia's finest — and Elephanta Beach (also known as Coral Beach), popular for snorkelling, Jet Ski, Banana Ride and Sea Walk. Neil Island (Shaheed Dweep) is quieter and more intimate, with the Natural Bridge (Howrah Bridge), Bharatpura Beach for snorkelling and Laxmanpura Beach for stunning sunsets.
Cellular Jail & Light & Sound Show — Port Blair's sobering national memorial — the colonial prison where India's freedom fighters were held in solitary confinement. The nightly Light & Sound Show (6:00–7:00 PM) dramatically retells India's freedom struggle. Between jail visit and show, explore the illuminated Marina Park and seafront promenade.
Radha Nagar Beach, Havelock — Blue Flag-certified Radha Nagar Beach — a sweeping arc of powder-white sand meeting crystal-clear turquoise water, lined with ancient forest. Consistently rated one of Asia's finest beaches, perfect for swimming and relaxation.
Elephanta Beach — Coral Reef & Water Sports — Havelock's famous Coral Beach — reached by a shared 11-seater boat from the jetty. Popular for 5-minute complimentary snorkelling, Jet Ski, Banana Ride and Sea Walk. A true tropical reef experience. Alternate: Kala Pathar Beach if Elephanta is closed due to weather.
Neil Island — Natural Bridge & Beaches — The quieter, more intimate island — Bharatpura Beach (shallow, white sand, great for snorkelling and boat diving), Laxmanpura Beach (stunning coral beach with beautiful sunset views), and the Natural Bridge (Howrah Bridge) — a naturally coral-formed arch best seen at low tide.
Ross Island — The ruined British colonial headquarters off Port Blair — now reclaimed by deer and jungle, with eerie colonial-era bakery, church and administrative buildings dating to the 1800s.
Port Blair — Beaches & Museums — On the free day in Port Blair: Corbin's Cove Beach, Chidiya Tapu (sunset point), Wandoor Beach, and various museums and parks — explore at leisure or visit optionally on direct payment basis.
Arrive at Port Blair Airport — meet and greet by our representative and transfer to your hotel. Evening, visit the historic Cellular Jail (guests are dropped at the parking area and walk ~200 m to the jail). After visiting the jail, come out and re-enter for the Light & Sound Show (6:00–7:00 PM, subject to availability). The free time between the jail visit and the show can be spent exploring the illuminated Marina Park and the pleasant seafront promenade. Overnight stay in Port Blair.
