Head to the tour office in Barcelona to claim your tickets, and then hop on the bus for a hassle-free ride to PortAventura in Vila-seca. Once you arrive, you’re set loose to explore the park’s different sections at your own pace.
Choose to start off in the original PortAventura Park, featuring 6 themed lands inspired by world civilisations. Head to China and feel your stomach drop on the sky-high and lightning-fast Shambhala roller coaster, and conquer a dizzying series of loops on the Dragon Khan coaster, known for its exhilarating inversions. Then, in Polynesia, cool down on Tutuki Splash, a ride that sends you spiraling out of an erupting volcano. Youngsters are sure to love the pint-sized rides in SésamoAventura, the park’s sixth land devoted to Sesame Street characters.

The tour comes to an end in one of the oldest squares in Madrid, the Plaza Mayor. Your fascinating insight into the grandeur and intriguing history of Spain begins when you explore the tombs of kings and admire the divine ceiling at El Escorial. Pay a visit to a poignant war memorial honouring the victims of
the Spanish Civil War atop the Guadarrama Mountains.
Built at the end of the 16th century, El Escorial Monastery dominates the beautiful landscape of Castile. It was once a symbol of the greatness of the Spanish empire and is now a World Heritage Site. Its austere architecture has influenced Spanish architects for more than half a century. Visit the Cloister of the Four Evangelists, the Palace of Philip II and the pantheons of the Royal Family—as well as the basilica.
Continue to the Valley of the Fallen, where a large stone cross looms over the surrounding landscape and stands as a chilling memorial to troops from the Spanish Civil War. The cross rises above an enormous basilica—with its arched crypt and engraved angels—carved into the hillside. It marks the = burial place of General Franco and is surrounded by the dazzling landscape of the valley.
